It is the month of June,
The month of leaves and roses,
When pleasant sights salute the eyes
And pleasant scents the noses.
~ Nathaniel Parker Willis

Top 5 Perennials for Sun
One of the most common question we hear is suggestions for sun-loving perennials that have the longest bloom time.  Talking to the staff, here are our top 5 favourites!

Top 5 Perennials for Shade
In shady gardens, it is foliage and texture along with bloom colour that is important.  Our staff were asked their favourite perennials for the shade garden.

Herb of the Week :: Lavender
This perennial herb is very popular for hot dry locations with fragrant flowers and foliage.

Try using fresh or dried flowers in jams or jelly, baked goods, fruits, butters and vinegars...or ice cream!

The scent of lavender promotes tranquility, check out the lavender essential oil in the Rustic Charm Gift Shop.

Feature Fruit :: Currants
Currants are ready for harvest when the fruits of the black currants are very nearly black with the red and white are brightly coloured.

These fruits are packed with anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins, especially vitamin C.

Currants are more commonly used for jams or cooked uses. They can also be eaten fresh on ice cream!
