Your Weekly School Update
February 16, 2018
"Do not be afraid when LOVE requires SACRIFICE."
 ~St. John Paul II
This week's adventures...
The hallways were rather quiet, and many student seats were empty, as our school family experienced quite a bit of illness this past week! With 45 students absent on Monday, we were certain that the week would improve, however the absences continued throughout the remainder of the week and even included some of our staff members. Please use next week to rest, and recuperate!

Those who were healthy enough to endure the week at school enjoyed a Burying of the Alleluia celebration on Tuesday, which was quickly followed by a prayerful and meaningful Ash Wednesday ! Father Williams outlined for us the focus of our Lenten journey, as he defined and gave concrete examples of prayer, fasting and almsgiving . Our students prayerfully considered their Lenten sacrifices and made plans to pray more often and give from the heart. We are looking forward to a prayerful, penitential and fruitful Lent!

As always, fun was had on the first floor this week, as the youngest members of our school family encountered their hundredth day of school, and our kindergarteners celebrated Chinese New Year! Upstairs on the second floor, things were a bit more subdued as our middle school students completed their midterm exams! I wish you all a wonderful winter break, and look forward to a full and healthy return on Monday the 26th!
God bless!

Now's the time to check your son/daughter's uniform to see what shape it's in, and make sure it fits properly. There have been growth spurts!
The school's Swap Shop is available for your uniform exchange needs. Be sure to refer to the Uniform/Dress code in the handbook for any clarification of uniform needs/requirements.

This is also the time of year that we consider possible uniform shifts for the 2018-19 school year.

Please click here if you have any further feedback on the current uniform code which you would like us to consider.

Thank you so much for your cooperation!
