Dear Pleasantdale Elementary Families,
Many of you already know that I have been named Principal, replacing Mr. Vandercar as he begins his retirement. I am excited to join the Pleasantdale community and have enjoyed the time I've spent in the district and school beginning to meet families and students.

Dear 4th Grade Kiddos, 
Congratulations on a another great year! You have worked hard, made friends and have learned a ton. We are so proud of the kids that you have grown into this year, and know for certain that great things are ahead for each of you in the future.
Your time at Pleasantdale Elementary has been earmarked with so many events and experiences. You have participated in countless assemblies, hundreds of lunches in the APR, and been on numerous field trips. From watching chicks hatch, releasing butterflies, swinging on swings and sliding down slides, you have done it all. You have learned to write your names, read great authors, add, subtract, multiply and divide like mathematicians, traveled around the country and have had electrifying experiences. You have drawn amazing pictures and sang like songbirds during inspiring concerts. And throughout all of these accomplishments, you have continued to grow and embrace change like true Super Heroes.
Remember to keep reaching for your goals. At times you may fall, but pick yourself up, dust yourself off and make change happen! Never forget where you have come from and please visit often!
Go out into the world...and soar like Eagles!!

Try to find all 15 pictures of Mr. Vandercar that are hidden around the school.
Monday, June 5: X-Change High Fives Day
Give Mr. Vandercar a high five today.
Tuesday, June 6: Year End Clearance Day!
Bring an extra bag to school today and we will clean out those desks and cubbies!
Wednesday, June 7: Zip into Summer Day!
Before you zip away to summer make sure to say thank you and good luck to Mr. Vandercar!

Water Donations Needed for Picnics
The Middle School End of the Year Picnics are fast approaching! We are in need of cases of water to keep the kids hydrated. Cases can be dropped off at the Middle School.

9th Annual Cancer Walk on June 7th!
The 9th Annual Cancer Walk for the American Cancer Society is taking place the last day of school on Wednesday, June 7 from 9:00-11:00am and students in grades 5, 6, and 7 will use the Pleasant Dale Park District track across the street. Students are raising money for the fundraiser and last year, students collected over $16,000! Families are invited to attend and join in on the ceremony of honoring and remembering loved ones who have had their lives affected by cancer. If you are a survivor, please notify [email protected]. Survivors will be leading the first lap and then everyone walks/runs for an hour. Join us!

Summer Library Hours
Pleasantdale School District 107 is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Steinmetz will have the Middle School Library open for all students to visit, read, or participate in activities on Wednesdays from 6pm - 8pm and Thursdays from 12pm - 2pm beginning June 14!
Please use the library entrance by the courtyard.

Login to your Skyward Family Access www.d107.org account and complete the registration steps for each child. Please make sure you click "completed" after each step. You will not be allowed to go to the next step unless you have completed the prior step. If you are not returning to the district next year, please let your school office know!

June 9th Deadline for School Supply Orders
The
time has come to order SCHOOL SUPPLIES for the 2017-2018 school year!!
Order now and save yourself time and the aggravation of having to go from store to store to store looking for the right supplies. Your purchase also benefits your Pleasantdale PTA, so it's a win-win!!
Click on the links below to find the Elementary or the Middle school. You will find the price and the account number for your child's particular school.
Order by June 9th as that is when the online store closes and we cannot accept any late orders.
Your child's school supplies will be delivered to Pleasantdale in August for you to pick up. Remember to order the grade level your child will be in in the fall!
