Author-in-Residence Moves to January 8th and 9th, 2018
Thanks to YOU, PCEF To Bring Bestselling Author Ruta Sepetys to Park City!

A t the request of teachers and students, the Author-in-Residence summer reading program has been moved to January, 2018.  As such, there is no summer reading program for Author-in-Residence this year.

Another exciting change is the Author-in-Residence program is joining forces with the One Book One Community reading program, and will be renamed 'One Book One Community, sponsored by PCEF.'

Thanks to our donors, PCEF is thrilled to bring  Salt to the Sea  bestselling author Ruta Sepetys to Park City. She will be speaking with PCHS students on January 8th and 9th, as well as at a public Community Conversation the evening of January 9th.

The Red Apple Gala is September 16th!

Save the date for Park City's favorite fall party, with an amazing cause to celebrate. The Red Apple Gala, generously hosted by Montage Deer Valley and presented by Zions Bank, is set for September 16th.

It's an evening of dining, dancing, and debonair,
along with silent and live auctions. The best guests in town make this our biggest fundraiser of the year! All proceeds go back into programs that go beyond what public education provides, to meet the needs of our students, teachers, and community.

Tickets go on sale July 19th!
PCEF Is Moving This Summer!

When the kids are back in school, we'll be in our new space at 1821 Sidewinder Dr, above Ski Butlers. While we have loved being in the high school, the students and faculty need more space, and so do we. Stay tuned for our open house this fall!

Teacher Spotlight: Celebrating 30 Years
We've been delighted to spotlight PCSD teachers and staff who have been in the district for at least 30 years or graduated from PCHS 30 years ago.

We profiled veteran Ecker Hill 6th grade Language Arts teacher Kerry Griffith in 2014. Kerry just retired after 30 years of teaching!

Kerry Griffith has been teaching 6th grade Language Arts at Ecker Hill since it opened, and at Treasure Mountain before that. "I grew up in New England, and went to college to become a teacher. After getting my undergrad and graduate degree, I taught 6th grade in Connecticut one year. "

"I heard about Park City from some friends, and decided to move to try the outdoor life. I met some remarkable people teaching at Treasure, and they convinced me to try teaching again. And I've been teaching 6th grade ever since!" Read more.
