Nature's Corner

Spring is amazing. We are able to see how delicate the gift of life can be. I believe creation teaches us that we too are delicate and need to treat each other with tender love.

Peace,
Br. Joe

Friars March for Environment, Bless Houghton Seniors

Br. Kevin Kriso, ofm, third from right, and Br. Joe Kotula, ofm, far right, pose for a group photo at St. Dominic's Church, following Mass after the People's Climate Change March in Washington, D.C. Accompanying them were St. Bonaventure graduates and Holy Name Province postulants Jason Damon, second from left, and Troy Hillman, second from right.
The Mt. Irenaeus friar community gives a blessing to graduating seniors of Houghton College at Mass on May 7. The students frequently came to the Mountain for Mass during their four years at Houghton.

Interested in an Overnight Stay?

Since our earliest days, thousands of guests, young and old and in between, have enjoyed an extended time at the Mountain by staying overnight in our House of Peace or one of our several hermitages. If you haven't experienced an overnight visit, we encourage you to give it a try!

Starting in the month of June, we are increasing our requested donation for an overnight stay to $80 per night, per person. We have been asking for $60 for more than 15 years, and this increase will help us better support our Gospel Manner of Life and Ministry. As always, we do understand some have personal situations that may necessitate a lesser donation.

Thank you!
