We are excited to announce that IAW Foundation launched its
LA Chapter on
February 1, 2018 at the
Porta Via & the Bar Room of Beverly Hills. Special thanks to those who joined us and made the LA Chapter Launch a big success.

"Be the Change" Fundraising Event
IAW Foundation would like to extend its gratitude to
Ms. Katy Saei and
Mr. Michael Saei for hosting a wonderful fundraising event at their beautiful residence in Pacific Palisades.
The
"Be the Change" fundraising event took place on
February 4, 2018. Ms.
Mariam Khosravani's presentation consisted of information about the IAW Foundation, the programs offered within the organization, and events and conferences held each year nationwide and worldwide. The event also featured
Ms. Alexandra Monir and
Ms. Fariba Ameri as speakers.
Fatima Javadi,
Amirali Javadi, and
Ariana Romero, IAWF Mentees, shared their experiences with the Mentorship to Internship program with all the attendees showcasing the true mission of IAW Foundation.
We would like to give a very special thanks to our co-hosts for their support and generosity, which goes towards creating opportunities for the future generation and allowing them to reach their true potential!

Up Close & Personal with Mariam Khosravani in Northern California
On
Saturday, February 10, 2018, the Founder of Iranian American Women Foundation,
Mariam Khosravani,
met with the NorCal Chapter from
10:00-12:00 PM in order to communicate the new strategies for the chapter. The event was very successful and we cannot wait to share the result of this meeting with you through our upcoming events.

Shabnam is the founder of Big Bad Boo Animation Studios & Oznoz.com, an online kids channel with cartoons in multiple languages. Shabnam makes cartoons to teach kids culture & languages. Productions include Babak & Friends - A First Norooz, Mixed Nutz (PBS, ShawTV) & 1001 Nights. 1001 Nightshas 52 11-minute episodes currently airing in 80 countries on Disney, Teletoon, CBC, Discovery Kids, ORF Austria, RTP Portugal and MTV3 Finland. Big Bad Boo is producing a new preschool show Lili & Lola about two little Iranian sisters living in a big city. Lili & Lola will feature animated episodes as well as mobile games to teach kids to read & write Persian.

Mandana is passionate about strengthening the sense of trust, & teamwork in Persian Community in the Bay Area and around the world. She believes in creation and necessity of having a stronger Persian community in the Bay area for our children & future generation to come & she has actively been working on various projects and with different civic organizations to bring certainty to that presence.

Hon. Afsaneh Ashley Tabaddor, Immigration Court (personal capacity) Judge Tabaddor is an Immigration Judge with the Immigration Court in Los Angeles. Judge Tabaddor was appointed to the bench in November of 2005 and has presided over the detained, the non-detained and the juvenile dockets. She is also an adjunct faculty at UCLA Law School, and has taught at various law schools in the past. Judge Afsaneh Ashley Tabaddor is the recipient of judicial excellence awards by the Armenian-American Bar Association (2014), the Arab American Lawyer's Association of Southern California (2014), and the Iranian American Bar Association (2013).
