The company is going through a re-organization, and as such, Demming Bass will no longer be our representative for Georgia. From Demming - I wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that my time with Constant Contact is coming to an end. Over the last 4 years I have met and worked with so many incredible people, chambers, SCORE Chapters, and SBDCs across the country and especially here in the Southeast. It has been an honor to be on a team that helped educate more than 1 million small businesses with the goal of making them better marketers.

Georgia CEO will be kicking off their inaugural Georgia CEO 100 receptions on June 21 in Albany. The first stop on an 11-city series over the Summer and Fall, Albany is where Georgia CEO began.

Terry Cole, of Tucker, Ga., has been named public affairs director for Georgia Transmission Corporation. In her new role, Cole will provide public, government and community relations support for Georgia Transmission's construction projects.

The Chason Group specializes in talent searches for chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, foundations, and other non-profits. Randy Cardoza and Tim Chason have just completed searches with the Georgia Department of Economic Development's Global Commerce Division for four project manager positions. Look for an announcement coming soon. The Augusta Economic Development Authority has selected The Chason Group to conduct executive searches for an Assistant Executive Director and Existing Industry Manager. The searches will begin this month. Tim and Randy are also working with the Development Authority of Washington County and the Georgia Allies.

Amy Booker has resigned from the Chamber to take a position at a local company in Dahlonega.

Maria Rose has resigned from the Chamber to accept a new position in Bradenton, FL.

Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber
A Statesboro, GA, team of Chamber of Commerce and business leaders has won $1 million in a national economic development competition. Announced on April 19 in Denver, CO, as a winner in the America's Best Communities competition, Statesboro has added these winnings to $165,000 in previous round awards toward its Blue Mile (downtown) renovation project.
