The 2017 River City Realty Spring Sprint & Kids of Steel Triathlon

The Kamloops Spring Sprint is their longest running race in
Kamloops, with the Sprint and Team Sprint being 700 m Swim/
20 km Bike / 5 km Run.  The Kamloops TriClub is  always looking for volunteers to help with race planning, setup, race day tasks, and take down. Without volunteers, this race would not be successful. The main role that needs filling is the Volunteer
Coordinator.

The 2017 Kamloops Kids of Steel Triathlon is looking for volunteers on race day,
June 11th, to help in a variety of positions. Most specifically, we will need course marshals who will be wearing high-visibility vests, assigned to a specific station on the bike or run course, and direct the athletes through the course. Each volunteer marshal will be given a card that outlines the various roles and responsibilities at each station, so there is no guess work. Many will also be assigned radios for contact with the race director, and the emergency cell phone numbers.

The KOS is a FUN event, that introduces the wonderful sport of triathlon to the youth in our community, aged 4 to 18. Please come with a smile on your face, ready to cheer every athlete through their race.

Our friends at the Kamloops Arts Council are
looking for  volunteers for  Art in the Park on Canada Day!  Art  in the Park is the largest arts event in Kamloops and  is organized by the  Kamloops Arts Council (KAC) as part  of the City of Kamloops  Canada Day celebrations at Riverside Park.  The full day of arts exhibitions and
sales,  demos and performances  is free to the public.  There's a volunteer job for every  type of person, they need those who like to work behind  the scenes creating registration packages, or those who  prefer a little physical labour to help them move the  Kamloops Arts Council's event items (like tables and chairs)  down to the park, maybe you're an earlier riser and wouldn't  mind helping to direct the artisans into the park?  Like to be  part of the festivities?  Be a greeter or freezie seller  through out the day.
