Set up an Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account

Parents are welcome to submit Proof of Residency NOW ONLINE through Infinite Campus Portal.  The parent must have an active parent portal account.  Please check your email for a message from Monroe County Schools giving instructions on how to activate your parent portal account.   If you need assistance, please reach out to Cindy Seymour at 478-994-2031 or [email protected].

Parents wishing to present their documentation IN PERSON may do so at the Monroe County Board of Education beginning Monday, June 19.  The collection schedule is as follows.  Parents with last names A-D Monday, June 19; Parents with last names E-K Tuesday, June 20; Parents with last names L-R Wednesday, June 21; Parents with last names S-Z Thursday, June 22.  Proof of residency will start each day a 8 a.m. and finish at 4 p.m.
  Parents not able to present their documentation on the assigned date are welcome to do so on any day during the collection week.

Called MCBOE Meeting:  Budget Hearing

There will be a called Board meeting Wednesday, June 21, for public input regarding the FY18 Operating Budget.  The Board of Education is expected to review and vote on the upcoming budget following public comment.

MCMS "Bulldogs Without Borders" Visit Europe
Monroe County Middle School teachers Laura Nelson and Sabrina Dorrity took students and parents on a tour of Ireland, Scotland, and England this past week.  Students toured historic sites and tried new foods as they learned about the history, culture, and people of the British Isles.





 Acc ess to FREE eBooks and Audiobooks 24/7

Students and staff members have access to a free online colle ction of ebooks and audiobooks. All of these resources are available to your student during the school year and the summer months.  Audiobooks and ebooks can be downloaded to a phone, tablet, laptop, or computer.  The site is https://monroecsdga.libraryreserve.com .  You can also find the link to Overdrive on the system website or any school website.  Students use their same username and password credentials that are used to access the computers at school. Users can also download the Overdrive app through the Google Play or Apple iTunes store. 
Through the Get Georgia Reading Program in partnership with http://www.myOn.com, students have access to 1000s of great enhanced ebooks.  You can learn more about the program at http://about.myon.com/GetGAReading.

Monroe County Schools released the 2017-2018 school supply lists, and these are available at http://www.monroe.k12.ga.us for your reference.  The elementary list applies to all three elementary schools.  The middle school list is below. Public Notice:  Destruction of Old Special Education Records of Former Students
The Monroe County Public School is planning on destroying old Special Education records in July 2017.  The records to be destroyed are for persons who were served in special education born in 1995.  If you desire to have your records, please contact the Department of Instructional Student Support 478-994-2031 x1604 or x1605.  Records not picked up by July 30th, 2017 will be destroyed.
