Summer Grant Applications Due June 15
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation announces its second grant cycle for 2017 for local charitable nonprofits. Applications will be accepted through Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. Grants will be awarded to organizations that enhance the quality of life in Linn County. For more information, click here.

Join Survey Measuring Volunteer Involvement
Volunteer Iowa invites participation in a survey that will help measure the involvement of volunteers and improve support of organizations. Any Iowa nonprofit, service club, school, or government agency that works with volunteers are encouraged to take the survey. Participants will be entered in a drawing to win a free registration to the Iowa Nonprofit Summit on October 24-25, 2017. The survey is open until June 12. Find it here.

Suicide Prevention Symposium on July 11 in Cedar Rapids
A Symposium of Hope: Finding your Role in Suicide Prevention is being offered on July 11 at the Cedar Rapids Marriott from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free to a capacity crowd of 200 community members and professionals who work with youth and who want to learn more about the real struggles of suicide for young people. Fairfax USA Days Street Fair and Parade Offers Free Entry for Nonprofits
Fairfax USA Days will hold a street market on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fairfax, with a parade at 11:30. There is no fee for 501(c)3 nonprofits for a 10x10 booth space and/or parade entry. ATD Nonprofit Training Day June 8
The Association for Talent Development (ATD) Hawkeye Chapter will hold the 6th Annual Nonprofit Training Day on June 8 at the Mt. Mercy University Graduate Center in Cedar Rapids. The purpose of this event is to provide a day of learning and growth to those who work for, or volunteer for, a nonprofit organization. More information here.

3rd Annual SE Iowa Nonprofit Summit
The 3rd Annual SE Iowa Nonprofit Summit will be held on September 21, 2017, at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, Iowa, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This FREE day-long training event is open to staff, board members, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations. The event features stimulating dialogue, presentations, learning and networking opportunities, and addresses a variety of critical nonprofit capacity topics. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Iowa Nonprofit Summit October 24 and 25 in Altoona
The biennial Iowa Nonprofit Summit will be held October 24 and 25, 2017, at The Meadows Events and Conference Center at Prairie Meadows Casino in Altoona, Iowa. Registration will open later this summer. Keynote speakers are Rick Lynch, a Seattle-based management consultant, and Michael McCann, leader of an award-winning volunteer program.
