Saint Andrew's Vacation Bible School News

We have been spending a wonderful VBS week with about 30 plus Saint Andrew's children, youth and friends, learning about the life of Paul in Rome and the Underground Church. 
Also, a big thank you to the kitchen crew for the wonderful meals! 






Saturday, June 17 at Saint Andrew's:

A Community Engagement training will be held  this Saturday, 9:00-noon, at Saint Andrew's. We'll have a light breakfast available. After a shared time of training with St. Francis, we will break into our own group to do specific work on our next steps.

For returning workshop members, or parish members who are new to the training, please RSVP to  Mary Lenn Dixon.

Save the Date! Reception for Matt and Heather StoneThe Parish is invited to a special reception to welcome Matt and Heather Stone on July 13, 6 p.m. in the parish hall. 

Status of Church Library:

In order to create an office for Matt Stone, our new Curate, we have found it necessary to suspend the operation of the Church Library. We are in the process of developing a new location for this part of Saint Andrew's ministry. Additional information will be forthcoming. 
Persons wishing to turn in books previously checked out, please place them in the box identified for that purpose in the parish hall.  Thank you, The Church Library Committee

Send us your summer trip photos!  We want to hear from you this summer! Send photos of your trips, or bring back a bulletin from a church you visit, just post the bulletins on the white bulletin board in the parish hall. Send photos to Alison Sawyer, [email protected].

New Community Conference, July 19-22 at Camp Allen 
Registration is now open for the popular Episcopal Church New Community Clergy and Lay Conference, slated for  July 19-22 at Camp Allen. The theme is Affirming Life, Liberty and Justice. "The New Community Clergy and Lay Conference is a venue for us to learn from one another as we strive to live together as the beloved community," said the Rev. What's happening in the Episcopal Community:


Fr. Bill Miller (Author of "Gospel According to Sam") will be signing books at Barnes and Noble Saturday,  July 1st.  On  Sunday, July 2 he will be speaking at St. Thomas and preaching at St. Francis.  Saint Andrew's  community is invited for lunch at Saint Andrew's, following the 10:30 a.m. service. Theater Camp at St. Thomas, College Station, will host a new theater summer camp for children, ages pre-K through 6th grade.  July 24-28th. Click here to learn more. 

Spiritual Formation School Accepting Applications
FIND, a school for spiritual formation, now offers programs in both spiritual direction training and spiritual formation for ministry. Applications will be accepted until June 30.
