Special Work/Fun Day this Saturday

Saturday June 3 is a regular day for our monthly, first Saturday, Fellowship Work/Fun Day. But this one is special since Sunday June 4 will be the Installation Service for Rev. Russ Menk. So I hope that lots of people will attend this Saturday to help get the Fellowship campus ready for the special event of installation. Time: approximately 9:30 - 11:30. It's not required, but it would be helpful if you contacted me if you plan to attend.

"Creating a Ministry of Caring"
A Time for Deep Conversation and Planning
Saturday, June 3, 1:00 - 3:30 pm
at the UU Fellowship

A workshop led by Rev. Jan Christian, Congregational Life Staff, Pacific Western Region.

We are in need of others and others are in need of us, in ways both large and small.  We are part of the interdependent web of life and that web requires care if it is to sustain and hold us.
Our lives are changed by offering and receiving acts of care: an encouraging note or phone call, a hot meal, a ride to the doctor, a hand reaching out to hold ours, someone listening with an open heart and mind.
We will explore ways to make the congregation's caring network more intentional and more robust over time.  All who care about this ministry are encouraged to attend.
Please RSVP to Ann at  [email protected]
Book Group

Thursday June 15  - Thank You for Being Late   by Thomas Friedman at The Farm restaurant, 6790 Soquel Drive, near Cabrillo College.
Unlike anything he has attempted before, Thomas L. Friedman exposes the tectonic movements that are reshaping the world today and explains how to get the most out of them and cushion their worst impacts. You will never look at the world the same way again after you read this book.

Please join us for a good discussion of the book and other important things. For info, call Linda Monk at 724-4089

Pledge Payments in June

At this time some of us have fulfilled our 2017 pledge and have started contributing against our 2018 pledge. This is sometimes not clear to our bookkeeping process. During the month of June, please be sure to annotate your check or cash envelope with "Pledge 2017" or "Pledge 2018".

Thank you.
