Enjoy events for children, families & adults.


Children’s will be offering a digital photo booth, art and STEM activity stations & button making. 


In the Adult area you can have your caricature drawn and attend an Introduction to Ballet for Adults workshop at 6:00pm. Registration is required for the ballet event


At 7:00 pm the Lost Acres String Band will be performing.


Bring a picnic or purchase pizza (from Cheshire Pizza and Ale) and drinks from our Friends of the Library. All ages welcome.

Movies & TV, Audiobooks & ebooks, music, magazines & comics are all available for Cheshire residents to download.

Parent Workshop: Helping Your Child Learn

Wednesday, June 21st, 6pm

This workshop will utilize the best practices from You Make the Difference in Helping Your Child Learn, published by the Hanen Centre.

Dinner and childcare will be provided.  
 
  • Dinner 6:00-6:30 pm
  • Parent class 6:30-7:30 pm
  • Childcare provided

Parenting Workshops: Positive Discipline

Beginning Monday, June 26th, 6pm

An 8-session workshop for parents who wish to learn how to develop relationships with their children based upon mutual respect, personal responsibility, and problem-solving skills for successful living. 


A Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator will conduct 8 weekly evening sessions that include:


  • Free Dinner, 6:00-6:30 pm
  • Free childcare provided
  • Parent class, 6:30-7:30 pm
  • Free children's books

You only need to register once to attend all 8 sessions.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Incendiary
Tuesday, June 27th at 6:30pm

Join author Michael Cannell as he discusses his new book Incendiary:The Psychiatrist, The Mad Bomber, and the Invention of Criminal Profiling. 

Incendiary details the infamous serial criminal from Waterbury also know as the "Mad Bomber" who terrorized the streets of Manhattan in the 1950's.
