Rallying Cincinnati Sports Fans

It's the best of both worlds when we get to combine some of our favorite pastimes with our work. So when John Morrell called upon Event Enterprises halfway through the Bengals season to have us finish the year's tailgating parties for them, we were happy to run with the ball. The combination of food, music, and football beats a desk job any day.

We worked the final four home games, providing items such as staging, power, tenting, heaters, labor, and permitting to help provide a fun atmosphere at Third and Race before the games. Even though some Sundays had us on-site at 5 a.m., including Christmas Eve Day, we were happy to lend a hand.

With Opening Day quickly approaching, we're already scheduled with John Morrell to help kick off the Reds 2018 season with the same Tailgating package on March 29th.
A Super Bowl Backline MVP

The Bengals may have clearly fallen short of getting to the Super Bowl (surprise, surprise), but there was a little bit of Cincinnati this year in Minneapolis. EE sent backline up to the Twin Cities to help support events held at two venues around town - a restaurant owned by John Randle, NFL great and former Minnesota Viking, and a tailgate and post-game party location hosting the Minnesota Vikings owners and their families.

Offseason Training

Much like sports teams that never stop training, neither do we at Event Enterprises. This fall and winter, our team has been busy spreading "specialized knowledge" among ourselves - sharing the latest industry trends and updates on valuable technical and operational subject matters. We held seven different internal training sessions, each spearheaded by a specific staff member, on such topics that included:
  • The Characteristics & Differences of 3-Phase & Single Phase Power
  • Proper DOT driving protocol and requirements
  • Vaccum Tube Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • DMX Programming
  • Multi-Channel Audio Networking
  • And much more
Most or all of this may seem like a different language to some, but to us, it is what we see as a differentiation within our industry. We'll continue to share our knowledge with each other, since "being prepared is half the battle."
Upcoming Events

Here are a few upcoming events that we are proud to be a part of happening across the area.

Wednesday, February 14
The "Rat Pack" is headed to Miami Valley Gaming for this throw-back Valentine's Day show. They will be reliving some of the greatest performances from the famous group's time at Sands Hotel Copa Room. We'll be supporting the event with backline and staging.

Friday, February 23
Minneapolis electronic drum and bass quartet Poliça and Berlin-based chamber ensemble, s-t-a-r-g-a-z-e, are headed to Memorial Hall for performance organized by the Contemporary Arts Center. The showcase highlights a year-long partnership and was first performed to a sold-out crowd in St. Paul, Minnesota.

March 2-4
We're headed back to the 26th annual Bockfest to help usher in the official start of Spring. We'll be on hand, providing full production services for three stages and the annual 5k race on March 3. Join us there for great food, a good time and of course, some of the city's greatest beer.
