Our GrapeVine program is starting a book club! In collaboration with the Madison Public Library, we are developing book club toolkits for GrapeVine nurses to use as an additional way to present health information. We are incorporating the new format into our brain health unit and will present it at our July Conference.
For more information and a sneak peek at one of the books we'll be using, check out our

First Breath Busy with Onsite Trainings
(Welcome Bellin Health of Green Bay!)
In May, staff completed 6 onsite trainings with First Breath sites in Northeast Wisconsin. Sites included Health Departments and private organizations. Not only are trainings a chance to share best practices for assisting women with changing their tobacco use, but each site also received program updates.
One important and exciting update shared was clients' access to intensive postpartum tobacco cessation counseling through First Breath Families. The First Breath partnership also added a new site to its team! We are happy to have Bellin Health of Green Bay onboard and trained in offering tobacco cessation services to pregnant women in their community.
WWHF Health Educator Appears on
Dr. Phil
Amanda Brenden, one of the WWHF First Breath Health Educators, appeared on
Dr. Phil earlier in the month. As part of the CDC's Tips From Former Smokers™ Campaign, Amanda offered advice to a single father who has been smoking for 25 years.
GrapeVine is partnering with The Wisconsin Community Health Fund and
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services to present heart health sessions throughout Wisconsin.
In the coming weeks, there are multiple opportunities to attend one of these FREE opportunities. Come for the food and stay for the wealth of heart health information!
Our programs are free and remain accessible to women and their families throughout the state because of your support. With your donation, you help us accomplish our mission to innovate, impact, and improve women's health.
