Panda Express Raises $451,133

Congratulations to Panda Express on an incredible fundraising campaign. Panda Express, a Children's Miracle Network Hospitals partner, raised $451,133 for Valley Children's Hospital this past year. The Panda Express at 12th and Lacey in Hanford was the highest fundraising location in the nation, raising $36,192. Please consider saying "thank you" to share your gratitude the next time you visit a Panda Express.

Legacy Health Endowment Grants $200,000 to Valley Children's
|
| We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Legacy Health Endowment of Turlock. Legacy Health Endowment's Board of Trustees approved a grant request for $200,000 in the coming year to support funding a full-time pediatric hospitalist at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock and fund community-based clinics in Stanislaus and Merced Counties sponsored by Valley Children's to provide school physicals and vaccinations to local children. Our thanks to Legacy Health Endowment President and CEO Jeffrey Lewis for partnering with us on this grant opportunity.

Get Your Tickets to Inside the Huddle

Here's your opportunity to hear from your favorite quarterback, Derek Carr, and his brother, NFL Network analyst and coach David Carr!
Derek and David will host "Inside the Huddle" on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Saroyan Theatre in Fresno. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m.
ABC30 Sports Director Tommy Tran will emcee "Inside the Huddle" and interview Derek and David. Fans will get a chance to hear the brothers break down and analyze the top 5 plays for the Raiders' 2017 season. Nowhere else will you get this behind-the-scenes look LIVE from Derek. The pair will also answer audience questions.
The evening will conclude with a drawing - raffle tickets will be given to every guest who attends. Derek will call up four lucky guests to receive signed #4 jerseys.
This will be a memorable event for football fans and all ticket sales from the event benefit Valley Children's Healthcare.

On Monday, February 5, Valley Children's supporter and PGA golfer Kevin Chappell visited the Fort Washington Country Club for a special luncheon with the supporters of
the Kevin Chappell Champions for Children's Oncology Endowment. As of this year, the Endowment has raised nearly $600,000 in support of Valley Children's.
President and CEO Todd Suntrapak moderated a Q&A with Kevin who shared some of his recent experiences on the PGA Tour and took questions from the audience. Kevin also generously donated several items of signed PGA memorabilia for a drawing and live auction to raise additional funds for Valley Children's. We are so grateful to Kevin for his time and support! A special thank you to Ralph Cross, Kevin's agent, for graciously hosting the event with Kevin and for his work with Valley Children's Healthcare CFO, Michele Waldron, and the Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation team.

RADIO Merced Raises $70,897

In November, RADIO Merced held their annual Radiothon to benefit Valley Children's Hospital. Over three days, the incredible staff and DJs raised $70,897 to support the patients and families we serve. We are so grateful to RADIO Merced and their listeners for supporting Valley Children's!

Spirit Halloween Raises $62,359

A special thank you to Spirit Halloween for their donation of $62,359 from their recent fundraising campaign. This year's campaign marked a $20,000 increase over the previous year!
Our mascot George, our Child Life Team, patients and President and COO Debra Flores were all on hand to celebrate their success! All funds donated from Spirit Halloween support Valley Children's Child Life Program. We are so grateful to Spirit Halloween for their ongoing support and to all of the customers who donated at the register. Thank you to the principal owners, Nick Casagrande and Stephanie Kachadurian, of Spirit Halloween who have been supporting this campaign for the last ten years.

Journey of Hopes and Dreams Foundation

Thank you to the Journey of Hopes and Dreams Foundation for their donation of $24,904 to support the Pulmonology department. We are so grateful to Angela Baldwin for helping to coordinate the sixth consecutive gift from the Journey of Hopes and Dreams Foundation. Dr. Sudhakar Reddivalam, medical director of Pulmonolgy, was available to accept this generous donation from Angela and her family. We are so grateful for their ongoing support!

National Pancake Day
IHOP's National Pancake Day is February 27th! For one day only, IHOP restaurants across the nation will give away free short stacks of their buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (one offer per guest). In return, guests are asked to leave a donation of any amount. All money will go to Valley Children's Hospital.
