STUDENT COUNCIL PET SUPPLIES DRIVE
Tuesday, February 6 to Saturday, February 24
Help support the High School Student Council with donations for Orphans of the Storm in Riverwoods, IL.  They are collecting dog and cat food, pet supplies, blankets and newspaper. Collection boxes are located at the front of the building.  Each classroom will also have a box for newspaper.  Thank you in advance!  For more information, please contact Robin Johnstone at  [email protected] .
HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL EVENT: NINJA PARTY
Friday, February 16 
All high school students are invited to enjoy a Ninja obstacle course, along with DJ music, pizza, drinks and dessert at 3:30 PM at The Cove School. Pick up at Cove will be at 6:00 PM. Cove's Junior High and High School basketball teams will be taking a field trip to watch the Windy City Bulls, a minor league team for the Chicago Bulls, at 10 AM. Students will depart Cove at 9 AM and return at 1 PM. Please fill out the permission slip attached to the flyer above with payment to Coach Wachowiak by Friday, February 9th. PROJECT FAIR AND VARIETY SHOW

All are invited to The Cove Variety Show, a once in a lifetime experience!  Come see our students express their talents in a variety of ways. IMAGINATION THEATER PRESENTATION

High school students will be introduced to sexual abuse awareness and prevention curriculum through a presentation by the Imagination Theater. The play, No Secrets, focuses on personal safety.  I f you have any questions, please contact your child's social worker

STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 
Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17

The High School Blue, High School White, Junior High Blue and Junior High Yellow teams have all qualified for the state tournament in Bloomington, IL. Save the date - more details and schedule to come. 

CAAEL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 
Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18

The High School Yellow team will be competing in the CAAEL Tournament at Robert Morris College, 2123 S Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 . PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES 
Wednesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 29

Parent-teacher conferences will be going on from 8 AM to 8 PM on Wednesday and 8 AM to 4 PM on Thursday. High School students are expected to attend their conferences. There will be no school for students these days, as well as the rest of the week.

SPRING AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES  
  
Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign their students up for one or more of our amazing after school activities. There are activities for all interests, including mathematics, robotics, homework help, sports, music and so much more. Please note that parents are responsible for arranging transportation home from after school programs. ELSA INFORMATION SESSION & TRANSITION FAIR

Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy, a four-year post-secondary certificate program for adults with differing abilities, will be hosting their annual Transition Fair at 6 PM in the Founders Lounge of Elmhurst College's Frick Center. This year we are ramping up our efforts to collect  Box Tops for Education, with a goal to earn $1000! Check out the Cove School Virtual Backpack for information about participating products ( click here), the new mobile app ( click here), and for collection sheets (optional to use). You can submit your  Box  Tops any time that you want, but our first BIG deadline is  February 23, 2018.
