Employee Spotlight
Every month, the AHA Insider showcases one of our employees. We want to give our readers an insight as to who works for AHA and what they do for the association.

Mary Vargas

Hi everyone! I am honored to be chosen for the employee spotlight in the February Insider.

I started working with AHA in 2001. I enjoy working here, and I love all the staff. I have three amazing kids: a son, Chris, who is a supervisor for a company that is just coming up; a son, Pete, who is an administrator for the City of Pueblo, Colo., and a daughter, Valerie, who is a registered nurse for Kaiser Permanente. I also have five grand kids and one great grandchild.

They all have taught me to have compassion and lots of patience. I love being around my family of 10: six girls and four boys, myself being the youngest one. I really like going to the movies, as well as watching movies on TV. I am looking forward to working with you for many more years!
