From Mrs. Rowley
Thank you to all of the parents who helped make Field Day such a success. Together with Mr. Howard and the teachers it was a day of fun, sun, and teamwork.
Please remember that Friday we will have our spring concert and Arts festival, beginning at 6:30pm. Saturday morning is the 5K Peace run. It looks like the weather will be beautiful. Please plan on joining us there, beginning at 8:30am.
Book fair is here! Get a jump on summer reading lists - or just stop by to browse, and support our library!
If you know of anyone who would like to be a "tuition angel" for next year, please let them know that we have some families that could benefit from their generosity. They should contact me at school, and any amount - a little or a lot - would be very much appreciated.

From the Health Clinic
Mrs. Maureen Earner
([email protected])
Splinters are objects that become embedded under the skin. Most often these are tiny pieces of wood, although glass, metal, and plastic can be splinters too.
Taking a splinter out as soon as you spot it helps prevent infection and makes removal easier (since the skin won't have time to heal over the splinter).
Signs and Symptoms
-
a small speck or line under the skin, usually on the hands or feet
-
a feeling that something is stuck under the skin
-
pain at the location of the splinter
-
sometimes redness, swelling, warmth, or pus (signs of infection)
