Love is in the air!

Check out the Lawrence Township Alumni who have recently gotten engaged or have said the big "I do"!

Bobby Kinder & Kaitlyn Burke, Lawrence North Class of 2010.  Bobby and Kaitlyn got engaged in December of 2017. They recently moved back to Indiana, and Bobby popped the question surrounded by family during a Christmas celebration! Kaitlyn is currently a nurse at Community North Hospital and Bobby is working at One America.



Maggie Gentry,  Lawrence North Class of 2011. 
Maggie started off 2018 by saying "YES" to her best friend in Florida. Maggie and her fiance, Max Richter, m et at Indiana University where they both attended college. Maggie is currently an Event Manager at the JW Marriott and Max works in real estate.


 
Robyn Miley,  Lawrence North Class of 2010. Robyn married Matt Tyner Jr. on December 31, 2017. Their wedding was filled with the magic of New Year's Eve and attended  by plenty of Lawrence North alumni.



Kelly Reinke,  Lawrence Central Class of 2013. Kelly married Chris Brown on December 9, 2017. Kelly is a Preschool Teacher at The Goddard School and Chris is a Visual Instructor with Ben Davis Bands.




Allison Kuhn & Brandon Meixner ,
Lawr ence North Class of 2009.  Brandon and Allison got married July 1, 2017, at the Arts Garden in Downtown Indianapolis. Both newlyweds graduated from Purdue University. Allison is currently working at Eli Lilly as a Risk Management Engineer and Brandon works at Indiana Mills and Manufacturing as a Customer Project Coordinator.

Lawrence Central Alum Named Honorary Chair 
The Lawrence Township School Foundation is proud to announce that Lawrence Central alum and Mayor of Lawrence, Steve Collier, has been named Honorary Chair of the 2018 Light Their Future Celebration. Collier has been a lifelong resident of Lawrence. He attended Harrison Hill Elementary, Belzer Junior High, and Lawrence Central High School. Upon graduating from Hanover College in 1977, he returned to Lawrence to teach U.S. History at Lawrence North High School, as well as coaching  football, wrestling, and baseball. He also served as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director in his 33 year tenure at LN.

Check out what's happening!

Ike Wellhausen,  Lawrence Central Class of 2013, is currently performing in the Beef & Boards production of Mamma Mia, here in Indianapolis. Wellhausen graduated from Ball State University in May of 2017 and plans to pursue a career in acting. 
 



Taylor Scheid, Lawrence North Class of 2014, along with Purdue Cheerleading, won the UCA National Championship. Scheid was also named to the USA National All-Girl Cheerleading Team that will compete in the ICU World Cheerleading Championships in April.


Cameron Clinton, Lawrence Central Class of 2013, released an EP with his R&B group, Collection Music. The album is titled "24 Hours" and is available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, and Soundcloud now.

Excellence Design Challenge 
Finalists

The MSD of Lawrence Township recently announced the finalists from the annual Excellence Design Challenge. The Excellence Design Challenge aims to reward a teacher for an innovative idea that, if implemented, will meaningfully impact the organization through efficiency, effectiveness, and/or measurable improvements. One winner will receive an award of $20,000 and all finalists who successfully complete the Research and Development phase will receive $750. 

The finalists that will advance to the Research and Development Phase are:
- Mr. Doug Price & Mr. Robert Cline (Oaklandon Elementary School): After the Bell Homework Support
- Ms. Laura Getz (Oaklandon Elementary School) & Ms. Tally Shanley (Indian Creek Elementary School): The Final Straw: The Elimination of Straws & Plastic Ware in LT Cafeterias
- Ms. Deena Fogle (Lawrence Central High School): Lawrence Language Leaders
- Mr. Jeffrey Smith & Ms. Tamara Markey (McKenzie Center for Innovation & Technology): LT Mobile iLAB
