Big Donations from Young Rembrandts
Young Rembrandts celebrated 30 years of teaching children to draw by partnering with Crayons to Computers to offer two free drawing classes in January. Admission was free to children ages 4-12,  but participants were asked to bring school supplies to donate to Crayons to Computers. 72 items were collected, thanks to the generosity of both the attending students and Young Rembrandts.

Donated supplies from Young Rembrandt students.

Teacher Spotlight #8
This month we are excited to feature Sally Stanfield! Sally is a regular shopper at Crayons and does many unique and innovative projects with her 4th grade students at Hamilton County Math & Science Academy. Most of the activities incorporate items that she finds in the Free Store. Sally creates fun and colorful bulletin boards using CwC cutouts, utilizes all the basics, especially copy paper, and comes up with her own homemade learning tools. One of her notable lessons involved using pipe cleaners and TwistTainers (pictured below), found at Crayons, to create pollinating flower models. Thanks, Sally, for all you do for your students!

Crafts with Conviction Expansion
We have expanded our Crafts with Conviction (CwC) section! We listened to your feedback and rearranged the products so that each item is easier to locate when you walk through. The new layout has also made room for some new and exciting products that will be hitting our shelves in the next few months.

Crafts with Conviction has been one of our longest running programs and accounts for millions of dollars worth of distributed educational materials and resources. Through our collaboration with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, our incarcerated partners utilize their time and talent to transform recycled materials into valuable tools for the classroom.

Make sure to take a look through the CwC section during your next shopping visit!
Winter Weather Policy
In case of inclement weather, Crayons to Computers will make a decision by noon if the Teacher Free Store will close. Decisions are independent of any school district.

If closed, Crayons to Computers will be listed in the general school and business closings on local news channels WLWT, WCPO and WKRC. Closings will also be pos ted via social media and on the Crayons to Computers
