Winder-Barrow High School STARS
The Barrow County Chamber of Commerce hosted the 60th Annual STAR PAGE Student/Teacher Recognition Breakfast February 6th at the Barrow County Leisure Services in Winder. The STAR Program is designed to recognize high school seniors who have the highest SAT score in their graduating class. These students choose a teacher who has made a difference to them.

2018 District Spelling Bee Winner
The Barrow County School System Spelling Bee was held February 2, and after ten exciting rounds, Isaac Sanders, a 7th grader at Bear Creek Middle School, was named the BCSS 2018 Spelling Bee Champion! The winning word was "ventilate." Isaac will be representing BCMS and the Barrow County School System at the District 3 competition on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The District 3 Bee will take place at the BCSS Professional Development Center.
