National Geographic:
Tiger Tops is an Amazing Experience!

Last year, with Elephant Aid International's guidance, Tiger Tops Elephant Camp became the first privately owned tourism company in Nepal to build chain-free corrals for its elephants and do away with elephant-back safaris for its guests. Instead, Tiger Tops now allows guests to accompany its elephants as they go about their daily jungle explorations.

National Geographic has now selected Tiger Tops as one of its top 10 international luxury camping experiences.

"Elevate your camping experience with elephants," reads the article, which lauds the camp for instituting "responsible elephant activities, like walking with the elephants in the jungle and learning about how they communicate and behave."

Bamboo Goes in at ERNA!

From Volunteer Days to fence construction, there is a lot happening at Elephant Rescue North America (ERNA)!

Volunteers and staff are now planting various types of bamboo. Not only will this create an environment resembling elephant habitats in Asia, bamboo is the staple of wild Asian elephants' diet.

We are grateful to Scott Pittman, founder of the Permaculture Institute in New Mexico, for visiting ERNA and contributing his extensive expertise to our plans for sustainable design and living. We are very excited by what we learned in these few days and look forward to the benefit of Scott's generosity.

Elephant Fence at ERNA

A huge thank-you goes to The DG&T Foundations and Bob Barker for their significant donation toward the construction of ERNA's elephant fence. Their generous donation covers nearly two-thirds of the cost of the fence!

But we still need to raise another $147,000 before elephants can call ERNA home. Please help us reach our goal by selecting ERNA on the donation page.

Special thanks to Donna Marshall, Direct Aid Nepal, and Cape Ann Fresh Food for hosting a special benefit screening of UNCHAINED, at Cape Ann Cinema & Stage in Gloucester, MA, to support EAI. Both Carol Buckley and the film's director, Alex Rivera, attended the screening and answered questions from the enthusiastic audience.  We greatly appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about EAI's work.

Upcoming Screening

UNCHAINED has been selected by the Enfoque International Film Festival and will be shown from June 14-17, 2017, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Do you know of a theater or upcoming film festival that would screen UNCHAINED? Do you have a friend with an in-home theater who'd like to host a screening? Please help us bring this impactful film to a theater near you! Learn more about the film HERE.
