Loyola Letterhead

Dear parents,

We would like to share with you some decisions regarding our football and softball programs.

St. Clair Public School and Mankato Loyola, announce the selection of Brandon Greiner as the new Head Softball Coach for this upcoming spring season, as well as, Dustin Bosshart who will take the reins of the football program next fall.  Both schools will join in partnership together in cooperative agreements which will allow many of our students an opportunity to participate in the sport they love.

Brad O'Donnell, Activities Administrator for St. Clair Public School and John Landkamer, Activities Administrator for Mankato Loyola, are excited about their new head coaches.  Brad O'Donnell states, "Coach Greiner has very strong values and a complete dedication to the profession of coaching. He has shown great leadership during the past few years building the St. Clair Volleyball Program into one of the strongest programs in the area.  We have complete confidence he will build the St. Clair/Loyola softball program by positively inspiring all participants this upcoming spring."  O'Donnell also commented, "Coach Greiner has shown that you get the best effort from others not by lighting a fire beneath them, but by building a fire within them."  It's our hope that Coach Greiner will continue to build our softball program to higher heights.

As the Head Coach, Brandon believes that the development and success of the team is a direct reflection of his own passion. "I am eager to start putting in the work to make sure this program starts off in the right direction and that it is a positive experience for everyone involved."  Brandon also stated, "I am looking forward to working with the students in both schools and guiding them to reach their full potential as softball players just like I strive within our volleyball program." Coach Brandon Greiner will continue his duties as the St. Clair Head Volleyball Coach, and will take his softball duties as Head Coach starting immediately. He will be working with St. Clair and Loyola administration to assemble his coaching staff.

We at Loyola would like to thank Rob Schroeder for his work with the softball program over the past year.

Dustin Bosshart will take the reins of the cooperative football program for St. Clair/ Loyola this upcoming fall. John Landkamer, Activities Administrator for Loyola, states, "Coach Bosshart has the right combination of experience, enthusiasm, poise and vision to take on this unique opportunity and challenge of this cooperative agreement.  We are very excited to have the opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship between both programs and look forward to working with St. Clair over the next few years".

Activity Administrator Brad O'Donnell, believes that Coach Bosshart understands the high academic and athletic expectations we have at both schools.  O'Donnell comments, "Coach Bosshart will mold our players into respectful and successful young people in the classroom and on the playing field.   He has a proven track record of success on the field and more importantly, getting his players to play beyond the scoreboard.  In his four years as the Cyclones Head Coach, he has made a lasting and inspiring impression on many young men within our community".

Coach Bosshart's purpose of why he coaches is very simple; "To help develop student-athletes that will be
Supportive,
Understanding,
Compassionate,
Committed, and
Empathetic, while building
Self-confidence and
Striving for educational and athletic excellence".  - S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

When asked about this endeavor Coach Bosshart stated, " I'm extremely excited and honored, along with my fellow coaches, to be able to help guide the St. Clair/Loyola football program on its new journey. It's not often that a group of high school student-athletes can change the course of history for two proud districts, but that is exactly what will transpire in the next few years as these players will work together and leave a positive legacy for others to follow, on and off the field.  In fact that's what high school activities should be about, building character, and working together in the best interest of all our athletes.  That's what we expect to do, and have no doubt in our minds that our communities will be supportive of our players and the goals of our program".

Coach Dustin Bosshart's head football duties will start immediately.  St. Clair/Loyola looks fo rward to these two programs working together and making a lasting relationship that will help both programs succeed in the years to come. Bosshard will be working with St. Clair and Loyola administration to assemble his coaching staff.

We would like to thank Coach Marc Bachman for his leadership and commitment to the Loyola football program over the past two years.

These Co-ops will hold practices and host games at both Loyola and St. Clair. Watch for information on schedules.
