Hello dear tea friends,

First I have to say how much I LOVE this picture.  That is Dede & Louise Ruff from many many years ago.  Louise now helps us in the Tea Room when she has time, she is a teenager now!  Could not think of a better picture to announce our Summer Children's Tea Time!  Yes it is what you have been waiting for!  We always feel so bad when we have to say no to your child or grandchild coming to tea.  It just isn't the right thing for the real little ones.  Also many of our "tea ladies" come to enjoy the fact that it is a grown up time, with no little ones around....they left theirs home! Teehee.  But we are going to try this, because we do really want to serve your children tea.  I must stress though, that this is not a typical children's tea party.  We still will not do Birthday Parties.  We will still expect very good behavior.  No running up and down the stairs, use your inside voice, no getting up from the table without an adult with you.  That all being said lets have a great time!  The days for children will be Tuesdays and Fridays, from 11 to 1:30 depending on what is available.  Traditional High Tea will be served at the same time, so please respect your fellow diners.  The age limit is 6 years old please....to how ever old want to come, at least one adult to every 2 or 3 children please.  It will be two courses.  We will have a scone course so we can tell your little ones something about having tea.  Then will come the tiers full of yummy lunch food!  The adults that come to tea with the children will be served the same as the children.  You will have the choice to order a bowl of soup or salad as an extra though!   The price will be $18.95 each person, will include hot tea, iced tea, scone course and the tiered tray full of sandwiches and desserts.  We will start this on Friday, June 16th....then it will be every Tuesday and Friday after that through June and July.  Call for a reservation  803.337.8594

Very excited about this.  We have some other Summertime plans to...but I will save that for a later time.  See you soon!
