Mary Jewell Huper passed away Tuesday January, 23rd. Ms. Mary was a member of the Discovery School cafeteria staff. To honor Ms. Mary our students wrote their special memories of Ms. Mary on paper flowers that have been collected and are displayed in the cafeteria. The sweet messages on the flowers make it clear that Ms. Mary was very loved and will be greatly missed.

Stay Healthy

Thanks

Thanks to PTA contributions, the Discovery faculty/staff enjoys a catered lunch on half days. This month, the PTA catered a delicious meal from Five Senses. The faculty and staff would like to express their gratitude to the PTA!
Discovery School Fifth Grade Band

At the Discovery School, we traditionally add a Fifth Grade Band for the Spring Semester, and this year we have about half of the students participating!  Rotation day 1 is the Woodwind Class, and day 3 is the Brass and Percussion Class.  Please make sure that the students have their instruments at school on these days.
I am really excited to see what this group can learn by the end of the year - there are some students practicing hard at home already!
