FREE -  February 10, 17, and 24 - 4:30pm

Celebrate Black History Month with this classic program in the Abbitt Planetarium that  takes us back to the days when freedom was nothing more than a dream for those held in slavery. Some looked to the stars for hope and guidance. The story is a poignant and inspiring tale of one African-American family's desperate flight to freedom and how they used constellations to guide the way.

Recently, there has been a motion to include the arts in the career set, turning "STEM" into "STEAM." Güisao-Wallace is in full support of this inclusion. To quote her, " They just go together."
