CDN Update

Welcome to the first CDN Update of the year.

I am delighted to announce the appointment of three new members to the CDN team: Sandy Murray, Head of Curriculum and Teaching; Gina Wilson, Head of Innovation and Partnerships; and Victoria Pyle, Head of Leadership and Governance. These are key appointments and I am very much looking forward to working with them on a range of key projects for our sector.

This month we launched a major survey as part of our work to review the Professional Standards for Lecturers in Scotland's Colleges. Staff from across the sector and beyond are invited to complete it and get involved with the process - be quick, because it closes on Friday 9 February.

In June we will be hosting the first ever College Expo, a two-day national event offering a range of professional development opportunities mixed with cutting-edge debate on innovations to enhance vocational learning. Find out how you can get involved below.

Finally, congratulations to all shortlisted submissions for the college Marketing Awards 2018. We are looking forward to another fantastic Marketing Awards ceremony on Thursday 15 March - and a special one this year as it's our 20th.

I hope you find our first Update of the year to be of interest. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss any aspect of our work:
