Blended Core Training
This course offers 14 hours of self-directed eLearning combined with 2 days of in-person training in a small class-size setting.
 
The blended format offers you more flexibility with your schedule by minimizing time away from home, family, and your community. You are able to study at your own pace and engage in peer learning and discussion while interacting with a DOEA certified ALF core trainer and other participants who are completing the course.

12-Hour Refresher Course
This course teaches you about the most recent changes to statutes and rules related to operating an assisted living facility, as well as providing a complete overview of all the regulations that you must comply with on a daily basis.
 
The 12-Hour Refresher Course is designed for administrators and managers who want to receive an update on current statutes and rules, who passed the Core exam more than two years ago and need a refresher on the regulations, and those who need to meet the continuing education requirements in Florida Statutes 429.52.

Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Care Seminar
Take the path to certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner by participating in the Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Care Seminar approved by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners . This is the required seminar for qualified individuals pursuing CDP certification, or just come for the education.
 
Training is from 8:30 -5:00. Attendees will receive a training manual ,7 CEUs, and information on how to apply to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner. A light breakfast and lunch are included.
 
This course is available to assisted living communities, memory care communities, caregivers, health care practitioners, law enforcement, community organizations, and anyone else who is interested in learning about dementia.
