CALL TO ARTISTS
Best in Show 2016, Charlie Ewers

Beverly Bassford was a former Art League board member who was passionate about the need for a new facility for the nonprofit to call home. After she passed away in 1999, her family established a prize in her name, which grew into the Beverly Bassford Memorial Juried Show. Artists may enter artwork of all media, 2D and 3D.

Juried shows are, by definition, selective. Our juror will decide which artworks to include and artists will be notified if not selected. No refunds of entry fees will be issued for works not included in the exhibit.

PUBLIC ART PROJECTS

UTILITY BOXES
The Art League is in search of artists to submit designs for a chance to have their original artwork featured on utility boxes throughout Ocean City, seen by millions of visitors to our busy resort. This is a special opportunity to be part of a community art project while raising awareness and funds for the Art League.
Volunteers will assist in painting accepted designs on the utility boxes.
Accepted designs will also be eligible for a cash prize! Measurements of each box are approximately 5'x5.5' wide and 4.5' high.

"ART CAN CLEAN BEACHES"

We are so proud that the Ocean City Council has approved our pilot program to paint beach trashcans with eye-catching anti-litter messages. Submit your trash can design for the "Art Can Clean Beaches" project to remind beachgoers that trash belongs in the receptacles and not in the sand. Designs will be printed on vinyl wraps and cans will be available for sponsorship.

There is no fee to participate. Designs may include previously created artwork. Please submit your ideas for either project by Friday June 30th to gallery manager Katie Brown at [email protected].
