MHLS Board Candidates Sought
Three candidates sought to fill MHLS Board of Trustee seats: The election of MHLS trustees will be an item of business at the Mid-Hudson Library System's Annual Membership Meeting, Friday, October 27, 2017.  MHLS is governed by a fifteen-member board, three trustees from each of the five counties served.  Nominations are due prior to July 1, 2017.

The Mahopac Library has announced a new "print from anywhere" service. Patrons can send documents to print to the library printers from anywhere they have internet access - a home computer, laptop or mobile device! They can then stop by the library within three days to pay for and print their items. This mobile/wireless printing service is provided by PrinterOn. The free WebJunction Course Catalog has a fresh new look! In addition to being loaded with over 40 self-paced courses and 200 webinar recordings, the Catalog now has an improved interface and user experience. All of the content is now combined together and organized by topic for you to browse to find just what you need. There are also improvements to the My Courses section; courses are now arranged by those that you are still working on and those that you have completed. And as always, when you complete a course in the catalog, you'll be able to obtain a certificate.

NOVELny Database Changes as of July 1: Provided by the New York State Library, NOVELny databases are funded with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The following changes are coming:
