February in Truro...
     This month we pick up over an hour of additional daylight, but with temperatures just about the same as January. That's not enough sun to overcome the frigid bay and ocean waters and the cold of the frozen ground.
     Expect an average temperature of 31°F, with average lows of 22°F and highs of 36°F. We get an average total of 4 inches of rain and 10 inches of snow.

The Town of Truro is combining forces with the Outer Cape towns of Ptown, Wellfleet and Eastham to help bring competitively-priced solar installation to Truroites' homes and businesses. The program also offers free home energy audits and high-efficiency home heating systems. Three Habitat Houses at 143 Route 6
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is building in Truro! HHCC is building 3 homes at 143 Route 6, Truro. Habitat is always looking for new volunteers. Transfer Station Closed Wednesday and Thursday
The Transfer Station will be closed Wednesday and Thursday until April 30th, 2018. Going forward, the Transfer Station will also be closed on the upcoming holidays: President's Day (Feb 19th) and Patriot's Day.
Sign Replacement Work
MassDOT will be conducting sign replacement work at various locations in Truro beginning on February 12, 2018 and lasting through the spring. Work will occur mainly in the breakdown lane/shoulder.
