C32 VIDEO UPDATE.
Meet one of our planters - Megan and Drew Dunbar
Dunbar's

Megan and I have been married for almost 10 years now and we have dreamed of starting a church since before we were even engaged. The details of where and when and how we'd start this church have changed over the years but the central idea has stayed the same: Risen will be a church for people who don't go to church and who don't even think the church is part of what they need in their lives. Towards the end of 2015 we felt like it was finally time to begin living out this dream God had put in our hearts so long ago.

We loaded up our family of 4 and drove 14 hours to Chesterfield County, VA from our home in St. Louis, MO in February of 2016 to pray over whether this might be the place God was calling us to start Risen Church. As soon as we arrived, Megan and I knew that this would be our home and the home of our church. We permanently relocated in September of 2016 to a community where over 200,000 people in a 15 mile radius do not attend a church.

God has been faithful to grant us incredible  opportunity and influence here to invite the people of our community to a better life with Jesus.

VISION

Inviting people to a better life with Jesus, forever.

Risen Church exists to invite as many people as possible to consider Jesus. We will design weekly gatherings designed to present the Gospel of Grace to people questioning God's existence, God's goodness, or God's purposes for their life. It is our conviction that anyone who trusts in Jesus for salvation is granted his Grace, invited to an abundant life on this earth that is better than life apart from him, and is welcomed into eternal life with God in heaven. In essence, we are inviting people to consider a relationship with Jesus who promises a better life in this age and in the age to come.
