Remembrance Service this Sunday

This Remembrance Sunday, 12th November our usual family communion service will include  an act of remembrance to commemorate the sacrifice made by service personnel killed and injured in wars since the first world war.

Funds raised in the Poppy Appeal go to support veterans and their families.
A Good Example on All Saints Sunday

Rather appropriately on All Saints Sunday, Nick Humphreys had St Paul's congregation enthralled with his account of his year in Guyana where he worked as a teacher. His good work is an inspiration to us all.

Nick was supported in his mission by the generosity of our congregation. It was a delight and a privilege to hear of the good work that he had done.

Well done and many thanks Nick! We wish we wish you well in your future.

Maestro Errol Girdlestone and his "Ensemble vocal et instrumental: Ristretto" return to St Paul's next month as they once again perform George Frideric Handel's celebrated oratorio ' Messiah'.

The performance is developing into an annual tradition at St Paul's, which it must be said is not at all surprising. Each year the concert is an opportunity to experience the intersection of a beautiful sacred space, supremely talented musicians and vocalists, and a musical interpretation of the greatest story in history, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

For your chance to see Messiah, please  be in touch with  Patricia Cerrone for tickets.

Saturday December 2nd 8pm, St Paul's Church, 22 Avenue de Grande Bretagne
Tickets €30
Dates for November

Kermesse Volunteers (And Cakes) Needed!

The Annual Ecumenical Kermesse will take place this year on 2nd of December. It will be held, as every year, at the Chapiteau in Fontvieille.

We need generous volunteers to help the kermesse run smoothly and the more people helping out, even if you can only help for a short time, the more fun and rewarding the work will be for all of us!

We need people to help with the following tasks:
  • Baking Cakes - we need lots of these!
  • helping the set up of the coffee/tea stand and the alcohol stand (this will be done on the Friday). Also needed is help to put out all the table cloths on the Friday evening.
  • serving on the two stands
  • washing up
  • Cleaning up and taking down the stands at the end of the day and transporting everything back to the church.
If you are able to offer your services, for any of the roles above for even a sort amount of time, please contact Tim or Candida.

Candida:  06 80 86 95 37
Tim: 06 78 63 57 78
A Tribute to Princess Grace

If you enjoy singing and would like to become part of a small group who enrich St Paul's worship, now is the time to join the choir!  We'll soon be starting on the music for the ecumenical carol service and are hoping to have a few more regular choir members who can sing with us each Sunday. We practise before the Sung Eucharist, starting at 9 am, so there is no weekday rehearsal involved.

For more information or details, please speak to our organist, Gottfried, or to Patricia Cerrone
