Accountable Care Organizations
One of the most significant changes in healthcare reform is the establishment of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). As a result of this reform, physicians and hospitals will be responsible for the coordination of care, quality, and cost that they provide to their patients across care settings.

MAeHC's team brings together cross-discipline skills to address the myriad of challenges of this delivery model. We provide you with an extensive assessment that will assist in identifying gaps and readiness to meet the goals and objectives of your ACO strategy.

Client Success
BIDCO promotes the highest quality of coordinated, cost-effective patient care among it's participating providers through its integrated and coordinated value-based contracts and related population health programs.

MAeHC has developed, integrated, and supported the Quality Data Center (QDC) certified modular EHR product for the majority of BIDCO practices and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), the BIDCO network’s tertiary hospital.

The QDC presently accepts daily feeds of clinical encounter summary documents (CCD and CCDA) from multiple EHRs across the BIDCO physician and hospital network as well as daily outpatient and inpatient encounters from BIDMC. EHR data consumed by the QDC is parsed into standard clinical elements, normalized in terms of format and meaning, and then used by BIDCO and its network to support various clinical quality data reporting needs.

MAeHC's QDC also supports clinical registry reporting needs for specific programs within the health system as well as reporting electronically for programs such as the Medicare Pioneer ACO program, Medicare Shared Savings Program, and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts AQC program.

Most recently MAeHC engaged with BIDMC to deploy an automated Event Notification System (ENS) that will alert its ambulatory partners of acute events in real time (admission, discharge, or registration) that happen at hospitals where their patients visit.

1.   What is one thing you couldn't live without?
Coffee. Coffee is something I never say no to. I can have a cup of coffee anytime of the day. When my kids are building Lego sets they comment that mommy's most favorite room in the Lego house would be the one that has the little coffee mug in it.

2. What are three traits to describe yourself?
Trust worthy, Hardworking, friendly

3. What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Shopping :). Shopping is sometimes the answer to all of my questions. I shop when I am happy, I shop when I am sad, I shop when I am overwhelmed with things & I shop when I have nothing to do. I think online shopping is the best invention ever.

4. What is the best book you have ever read?
Lean In: Women, Work, and the will to lead. I like to read nonfiction books in general and books about professional women in particular. This book really resonated with me. It makes me realize that any woman can have a fulfilling career along with a family life. I reread highlighted portions of this book when I need a boost to my self-confidence. I feel like the author is directly talking to me in many portions of the book. My favorite quote from the book is that "Careers are a jungle gym, not a ladder".

5. What is one accomplishment at MAeHC that you are the most proud of? Why?
I have been working on the QDC ever since my first day at MAeHC and have seen it grown leaps and bounds. My proudest day was the day we realized that we have data on the QDC for at least one patient from every single state in our country. I believe that in your job you have to build something that outlives you. I am proud to be part of building something that is touching so many people's lives in this country.

6. What is your favorite sports team?
Patriots. I love watching sports in general & I am a major fan of all Boston Sports teams. I have been to games at Gillette, Fenway & TD Garden. The Patriots are an inch closer to my heart than the rest. I am a nervous wreck during their key games. My game day superstitions can be a conversation item for another time :)

7. If you could visit one landmark, which would it be and why?
Taj Mahal. There is a quote that there are 2 kinds of people in the world. Those who have visited Taj Mahal and love it and those who have not seen the Taj and love it. I am sure that if I am fortunate enough to visit it someday; it will be all that I imagine and more.

8. Do you speak any other languages?
My native language is Tamil. Tamil is one of the oldest languages aging approximately 3000 years. It is still spoken by more than 80 million people. I can speak , read & write in Hindi as well which is one of the 2 national languages of India.
