Chester First Aid Squad - Update
Changes in Daytime Coverage in Effect.


The First Aid squad has recently arranged to have Atlantic Health cover ambulance calls on Monday-Friday, 5:45 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Learn about
Sunnyside, the "Handsomest House in Chester, built in 1873
by Chester's famed cabinetmaker, James Topping.  Sunnyside is located on the Turkey Farm property.  The current owners have applied to the Chester Borough Land Use Board for possible demolition.
 


The "Telephone Pole Farm" has been a fixture of Chester since 1930.
 
The pole farm was a research site to improve the longevity of telephone poles in the ground. Different preservation techniques were tried and samples of wood were regularly tested for degradation.
