Dear Friends and Family,
The 12th Annual Yeshivat Noam Golf & Tennis Outing is less than six weeks away on Monday, July 17th at the Montammy Golf Club in Alpine, NJ. We are hard at work planning the events of the day, including golf, tennis, a HUGE raffle and breakfast, BBQ lunch and dinner! We have also planned a full day of activities for women including Paint with Nikki and an exercise class with Rachel Ashendorf!
We look forward to your participation in this important event.
Please
click here to register to attend or for information on becoming a sponsor.
If you or anyone of your friends and family have access to items which can be donated to our auction, we would greatly appreciate your help. Gift certificates, special items and memorable experiences are always popular and help the participants - who are also neighbors and patrons - become familiar with your business.
Please
click here to make a prize donation. One of our volunteers will contact you to arrange for pick up. Tax deduction receipts can be issued in exchange for the "good/service" that you are donating.
The Bidding for Good online auction showcasing these great prizes will be from Thursday, July 13 through Thursday, July 20 at 9:00 pm. Thank you for all that you do to make our school a better place!
T'zku L'mitzvot!
With thanks,
Auction and Raffle Co-Chairs: Rena Zelig and Dalia Stelzer
Event Co-Chairs: David Isaacson and Akiva Romanoff

A large group representing Yeshivat Noam marched on Sunday in the Celebrate Israel Parade. The theme was "Building Israel Together" and everyone wore hats, t-shirts and tool belts with hammers to look like construction workers.
Thank you to everyone who made the Celebrate Israel Parade a success. Special thanks to the volunteers on the committee: Elizabeth Naor, Yael Herman, Beth Kepets, Tamar Rothenberg and Rena Zelig.

Buds children observed, sketched, learned and recreated the life cycle of a butterfly over the past two weeks. They were sad to see them go!

Thanks to technology and some creativity, two classes from two different schools were able to enjoy a year of learning together. Over the course of the school year, Yeshivat Noam's 1st Grade and Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva's (RPRY) 1st Grade have been virtual pen pals sending videos back and forth.
It began when Morah Freida Rothman of YN decided to send a video to Shmuel Kurtz, the son of Rabbi Elie Kurtz (Director of Judaic Studies, Elementary School of Yeshivat Noam), who is a first grader at RPRY with some Hebrew her class had learned in the Tal Am program, knowing that he too was learning the same curriculum. Rabbi Kurtz and his son Shmuel sent a video back to the class in Hebrew, and thus a beautiful friendship began. At the end of Sefer Bereishit, Morah Freida prepared a Jeopardy game for the two classes to enjoy via Google hangout. Rabbi Kurtz hosted the game show, and the two classes played together showing off their knowledge of the parshiot. To end the year off, Morah Frieda again prepared a game for both classes to enjoy. This time topics included Parsha, Yom Yerushalayim, Shavuot, Lag Bomer and Sefirat Ha'omer. The two classes loved meeting each other over the computer. They enjoyed a yummy snack, and even made one bracha together before enjoying. It was a great way of integrating technology into both classrooms!

The 4th Graders put on an impressive performance displaying their hard work at the State Fair.
|
|
The 6th Grade students have completed their hard work on the Mishkan project. In order to better understand parshiot of Teruma, Tetzaveh, Vayakhel and Pikudei, each student built a kli from the Mishkan and one or two of the bigdei k'hunah. After the project was completed the students presented the information to their classmates, making something that was used by Jews more than 2,000 years ago alive and real for us today.
|
|
Our 8th Graders had a blast on their three day trip to Lake George. Some of the highlights included swimming, rafting, skating, playing laser tag and going to an amusement park!

Collecting Jerseys and Soccer Balls
Dear Yeshivat Noam Family,
I have chosen Breaking The Chains Through Education (BTCTE) as my chesed for my upcoming Bar Mitzvah. I am collecting SPORTS JERSEYS, SOCCER BALLS and gently used or new SUMMER CLOTHES. JERSEYS (teams, MGBL, FOOTBALL) of any kind can be donated to the children in Ghana, Africa. They are rescued from slavery and then educated in schools built by the BTCTE organization.
A labeled box in the Middle School and
Elementary School buildings near the office is
where you can drop off the donations.
Thanks so much !
