Greetings to you all!
This fall, you will be in college!

Congratulations on graduating from high school!
Take some time to reflect on the last four years and be proud of your achievements!
Do not forget to submit all of the necessary forms (i.e., final high school transcripts, financial aid documentation, immunization records, orientation registration, and summer bridge programs required documents) to complete your college registration. Many services and programs such as housing, orientation and summer bridge programs are on a first come, first serve basis. Furthermore, make sure to choose an orientation session in July (if available) as you will use this time to register for classes, and they tend to fill out quickly.
Finally continue to apply for scholarships. Now that you have a better idea of how much college costs, we hope that you can see how a $500 or $1,000 scholarship can help to lessen the cost of college.

Sending Your High School Transcripts!
|
If you do not submit your official high school transcripts, your admission offer is going to be declined!
Make sure to send your high school transcripts by the deadline, many are due on July 1, and double check this information with your college/university.
Also, make sure to post-mark your mail and double check the address of the admission office you are sending your transcripts to!

New Student Orientation
|
Why is it important?
- This is a "get acquainted" time. If you have not done so yet, this is your chance to get to know the campus, take a tour, meet students and experience what the campus will feel like during the fall.
- This is an informational time. You will learn how to enroll in classes, explore degree requirements and, if attending a UC, you will take your math placement test.
- This is the beginning of your college journey, enjoy!

Finalizing Your Financial Aid
|
- Re-examine your financial aid applications (make sure you updated your information in the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application)
- Check your student portal. Make sure that you do not have any pending items. If you do, take care of them right away and contact your financial aid office
- If you are taking loans, complete your Loan Entrance Counseling and your Master Promissory Note
|

Things To Do After High School To Get You Ready For College
|
- Send your official transcripts to your college/university no later than July 1st. If you send them through the mail, make sure to post-mark them
- Register and attend your college/university orientation
- If you are living on campus, contact your new roommate
- If you will be commuting to college, practice how to get to campus on your own
- Visit your college/university
- Make a list of all the different things you will need during college
- Participate in a summer bridge program, internship or get a summer job!
- Learn how to drive, apply to get your driving permit
- Keep applying for scholarships, be productive with your time
