I am thrilled to announce that Mr. Wes Jarrell will be joining our teaching staff this fall. Mr. Jarrell has taught a variety of subjects for 24 years at The Ellison School in Vineland. He will be teaching French and Literature, as well as a section of Spanish. Mr. Jarrell is known for teaching with a high level of critical thinking and is an expert on debate and public speaking.

"I believe that the primary goal of all teachers should be to provide their students with the skills necessary for them to succeed in any educational environment and in life," said Mr. Jarrell.  "I'm inspired by OLMA's vision for its students and look forward to helping achieve it."

During his 24-year career at The Ellison School, Mr. Jarrell served as Head Teacher for Upper School, instituted a rigorous debate program for the seventh and eighth grade students, implemented a school-wide reading management program, and developed and taught a course on logic and ethics.

Jarrell is also a 21-year veteran of the US Army Reserve.  During that time, Jarrell was deployed overseas twice -- once for the Gulf War and the other for Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).  He was awarded the Bronze Star for Service for his efforts in OIF.

We are excited to welcome Mr. Jarrell to our faculty and look forward to the many positive contributions we know he will make to the unique academic programs already in place.  Please join me in welcoming him to the OLMA family.
