We are a welcoming Fellowship!
We want to get to know you and we want you to have an opportunity to get to know us. Learn about Unitarian Universalism and what happens here at the Fellowship. Ask questions and meet others who are seeking a spiritual home and a sense of community. You are welcome to bring your coffee and food from Hospitality as this is a casual gathering hosted by Fellowship members. All are welcome.

COPA LEADERS MEETING
Sunday June 25 from 3-5 PM
At IBEW Hall, 10300 Merritt Street, Castroville
(parking behind the building and enter from the parking lot)

COPA leaders from across the region will gather for updates to our "Know Your Rights, Know Your Neighbor" immigration campaign and to consider COPA's 2017-18 organizing strategy.  It is important that leaders and core teams from every institution participate in order to have a voice in the direction of the work. For further information, contact Smitty Smith (831) 737-3721. Or you can RSVP through the COPA website:  https://copa.nationbuilder.com/copa_leaders_meeting_june2017

TGIF Hosts Needed

Hosts are needed for our Summertime TGIF's.
Our "Thank Goodness It's Friday" POTLUCK social gatherings are a popular way of deepening our UU Community. All are welcome to come, even if they cannot always bring a dish to share. The hosts put out a basket for donations to help defray costs.
Hosting involves opening your home, back yard (or the Fellowship) from 5-7 PM, on Friday evening;  providing wine, soda and water, plates, cups and napkins. The guests bring the rest.
Please call Jan Taylor at 332-4489, to host (or co-host) one of our Community's well-loved TGIF's.

Book Group

Thank You For Being Late by Thomas Friedman.

Next meeting:  Thursday  June 29 at 10A.M.
at The Farm Restaurant, 6790 Soquel Dr, Aptos.

After much debate, the we have decided that this book deserves more than one discussion. We had planned to take a summer break, but we don't want to wait too long to talk about Thank You . W e have decided to have three meetings, so we can take it in smaller doses.  Our plan is to meet  Thursdays June 29, July 20, and August 17th.
Let's come prepared to talk about Chapters 1- 5 for June 29.  Then Chapters 6- 10 for July,  and finish  it up in August.
Join us for coffee, tea, and lots of good discussion.

Pledge Payments in June

At this time some of us have fulfilled our 2017 pledge and have started contributing against our 2018 pledge. This is sometimes not clear to our bookkeeping process. During the month of June, please be sure to annotate your check or cash envelope with "Pledge 2017" or "Pledge 2018".

Thank you.
