Departure Day is 5 weeks Away - Important Deadlines Ahead!
Minimum Fundraising Deadline: June 30th
If you have not raised the minimum fundraising amount ($2,500 if you're a 6-Day Rider or $650 if you're a 1-Day Rider) by June 30th you can expect a call from PWA asking for your credit card details. If by Packing Day you have still not raised the minimum amount, your credit card will be charged the amount outstanding. 

If you've already reached the minimum, CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU!  But remember, it's just that - a minimum.  So please raise your goal and keep fundraising! PWA clients are counting on us!

Training Ride Deadlines
By NOW: If you're a Rider you should already have completed a 100 km bike ride. 

By EARLY JULY: If you're a rider you should have already completed a back-to-back of two 90 km+ bike rides over two days.

Montreal Accomodation
The deadline for reduced-rate rooms was  May 3 1st - If you're still plan ning to s tay with us a t Grey Nuns Residence at Montréal's Concordia University, be sure to make a  reservation ASAP as all rooms have been opened to Osheaga guests too

PWA will cover the following costs:
- For Crew (code: FFLCREW): Two nights
- For Riders ( code: FFLRIDER): One night, with an option for you to book a second night at your own expense. If there aren't any rooms available, contact Trevor:  touellette@pwatoronto.org

If you wish to reserve a room at Grey Nuns the standard Daily Rate will be charged ($74 for a single and $114 for a double bed). Please remember you will only be reimbursed for the discounted rate - $44 for a single and $64 for a double.

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy:
1. The cancellation deadline has now passed. Your credit card will be charged in full and this is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
3. To claim your reimbursement from PWA you must check into your room and use it. If you don't use your room, you will not be issued a refund in the mail by August 30, 2017.

Note:  Regardless if you're Crew or a Rider, you are required to book and pay for your own room and PWA will reimburse you by August 31. If you book a room and you don't use it you will NOT be reimbursed.



Transportation from Montréal to Toronto
By June 30 - If you're planning to return to Toronto by bus from Montréal with us you need to reserve your complimentary seat. Buses will be departing Grey Nuns Residences, 1190 rue Guy on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6 at 1:00 p.m. sharp. Please be there and ready at 12:30 p.m.

To reserve your seat, log-in to your Participant Profile at www.bikerally.org , click on the "Merchandise" button, select the day in which you will be returning to Toronto, and then "check-out". If you do not follow through with the check-out process, it will not register.


DAVID LINTON SPIRIT OF THE BIKE RALLY AWARD
Deadline for Nominations is June 30th!
 
Each year, we honour a participant with the David Linton Spirit of the Bike Rally Award. This 
award is given to a participant who demonstrates, through their actions, a generosity of spirit, caring and compassion, and has gone above and beyond expectations in support of others in the Bike Rally. Past recipients of the award include:

  • Todd Davies - 2014
  • Robb Walker - 2015
  • Walter Dimini - 2016
If you know of someone deserving of the Bike Rally's highest honour, please use the link below to share the name of the nominee and a short description of why you think they should receive the award.
 
Nominations can be made by current Bike Rally participants, the recipient being selected by the Steering Committee.
 
The deadline for nominations will be June 30.

Ride With Me Recruitment Campaign Ends
By June 30 - Recruit a 1-Day or 6-Day Rider by June 30 and receive some pretty incredible "thank you" gifts once your recruit has reached their minimum fundraising amount!

 
IT'S PRIDE - Celebrate with your Friends For Life!
June 24 and June 25 - Join us at the Bike Rally booth during the Pride Streetfair. Be a Bike Rally ambassador or spin for a few hours and raise some money that will go toward your personal fundraising.

June 25 - March with us in the Pride Parade as we celebrate, 19 years of the Bike Rally and 30 years of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. We'll be meeting at Bloor and Church Streets at 12:30 p.m.

On July 30, 2017, more than 400 Riders and Crew will embark on either a 6-day 600 km journey from Toronto to Montréal or a 1-day 110 km journey from Toronto to Port Hope , both in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. PWA's Friends For Life Bike Rally is the sustaining fundraiser of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. The experience of the Bike Rally promises to have a profound impact on the lives of every participant.
