Dear Mental Health Community,
The Senate Healthcare Bill is devastating for millions.
Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide health and long-term care coverage to nearly 12.3 million low-income children, pregnant women, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities in California. Medicaid is a major source of funding for safety-net hospitals and nursing homes.
The Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) would fundamentally change the scope of the program and end the guarantee of federal matching funds.
#JoinUs in Taking Action by calling your Representatives TODAY!
Here's all you have to do to #JoinUs:
- Call your Representative
- In about 1 minute, tell your Representative you are calling about the importance of mental health services to your recovery, and what your life would be like without access to care.
- Leave your name, where you live, and your zip code.
- Thank them for their time
If you really want to make the most impact, make a short 1 minute video about how the ACA has helped you. All you need to do:
- Use your computer or camera to make a short 1 minute video to your representative saying how or why the Affordable Care Act has made a difference in your life, and how the removal of those services will impact you.
- You must include your full name, zip code, and a thank you for taking the time to view your video.
- Email your video to [email protected] and we'll make sure it gets to DC!
