Summertime
Summertime means a lot of things. Students are out of school and families are anxious to keep them productively occupied. We've had a lot of questions lately about volunteering. One option is to volunteer at the warehouse as a family.  Volunteers under 15 need to be accompanied by an adult. Our Saturday volunteer hours are 9-11am and weekday hours are 9:30-12pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We schedule all volunteers to make sure we have enough space. The warehouse is not air conditioned so if you are looking for a more comfortable volunteer experience there are other ways to encourage giving back to the community as a family. Children and families can hold lemonade stands with the proceeds to benefit The Wish Project and our clients. Another option could be to have a yard sale or car wash and donate all or a portion of the proceeds to Wish. Last summer several children held Lemonade stands and were able to experience first hand the pride in helping others. It's never too early to teach children to see past their neighborhood and learn about the needs of others less fortunate. Eight year old Tyler Nolan, pictured left, donated toiletries for fire families with $100 he received for his First Communion. No donation is too small to help others and impact our community. If you are interested in scheduling a volunteer date or getting more details, email  [email protected] and she would be happy to give you more information.
Thank you for helping us serve our needy families.
Summer Camp Bags

Our Summer Camp Bags are going out to our lucky clients who have received scholarships for their children to go to Summer Camp. We are still collecting items.  These go out to children that receive scholarships to summer camp but do not have the resources to buy the items they are required to bring. We are currently in need of duffel bags, beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray, and  flip flops. We are critically short on bug spray. We we lcome any help you can give us to assist our clients in having a safe and healthy summer.  If shopping isn't convenient you can follow the link  Donate Now to donate online and we will purchase the supplies for you. If you prefer to do your shopping online you could order direct from our  Amazon Summer Camp Wish List  and have the item shipped directly to us at the warehouse. Thank you for helping us make this summer better for needy children and their families.
