A NOTE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
Head A LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Dear Parents,
T.S. Eliot was an American born poet who became a British citizen and also happened to be widely regarded as the greatest poet of his generation. One of his most famous lines reads," I have measured out my life with coffee spoons."

Clutching at the dual nationality connection, I can say that I have measured out my life in academic calendar years.

As we reached the end of the school year at St. Richard's, I have a brand new set of experiences to recall since last June when Gayle and I arrived in Indianapolis. New weather patterns, new rhythms to the school day, new events and activities, new cultural perspectives, and most warmly new students, colleagues, and parents. Click

Enjoy our video highlighting the end of the year! A special thank you to Mr. Knapp for creating it.

devo DEVELOPMENT NEWS

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
The capital campaign continues to make good progress.  We crossed the $4.6 million mark, signaling the formation of a new building committee responsible for the management of the project.  More plans will be released shortly, but anticipated ground breaking for the project is June 2018 with completion in late Spring to early Summer 2019.  Even as we progress forward with construction, there is still $900,000 to
be raised.  Peter Harding, John Mainella, and the rest of the capital campaign committee will continue to work in earnest to reach the goal. For more information, contact

ANNUAL FUND
Many of the unique opportunities that exist within the St. Richard's community are available because of our Annual Fund. Currently we have 90% our goal of $300,000 pledged. The fiscal year ends June 30, so do not delay!

You can make your gift directly to St. Richard's by  clicking here.

MARY LOUISE CARDWELL
Mrs. Mary Louise Cardwell, otherwise known as Maitresse (French for teacher) by the young children at SRES, retired after spending twenty-five years exuding her love for the French language, reading, and working with our PK, JK, and Kindergarten students both in French class and in the library. During the Awards Ceremony, Maitresse was honored for her years of service and presented with a beautiful portrait of the Eiffel tower the EC students painted. A collection to the library was also donated in her honor, and she was presented with a copy of "Day by Day" during our post-service session with her family present.  Maitresse's global appreciation and love for teaching will be missed, but she promises to visit often as she resides near the school.
