HCL Technologies Becomes First Trustee-Level Partner with Frisco Chamber of Commerce
Growth is the name of the game in Frisco. This was reiterated Tuesday as the Frisco Chamber of Commerce announced its first trustee-level partnership with HCL Technologies, a global IT services company.
"It's really about partnerships and it's about growth," said Tony Felker, Frisco Chamber of Commerce president/CEO. "Today, specifically, we're celebrating the new partnership with HCL and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce."

HCL is a forerunner for other companies in Frisco, helping define what a trustee-level partnership means. While it means added benefits from the chamber, there is also an added expectation that the company will give back to the community. Read More...

The city is working on several projects to improve traffic flow, and private companies have begun to look to Frisco as a testing ground for new technological advances.

These companies, including Audi, Traffic Technology Services, Uber and Google, are helping implement these new projects.

Collin College Plans to Offer Three Bachelor Degrees - An Initiative the Frisco Chamber of Commerce has been Advocating For Over the Last Two Legislative Sessions!

In a news release, Collin College District President Neil Matkin gave thanks to the Senate and House representatives who were in support of the bill.

Frisco ISD Maintains Tax Rate
During a special meeting on Monday, the Frisco ISD board of trustees adopted the 2017-18 combined tax rate of $1.46 per $100 valuation, which has not changed since 2012.

Pickens said that rising property values benefit the interest and sinking fund; however, the district does not retain funds from rising property values to support the day-to-day operations budget, which also accounts for 80 percent of staff salaries. Read More...
