Oorah! to the more than 6,800 runners who met their running goals at the tenth annual Historic Half. Whether you ran 13.1, 5ive or both, the Marines salute you for your dedication and commitment. Special thanks to the host community of Fredericksburg and all the amazing volunteers.

Top Finishers
Mark Hopely (1:10:38) from Fredericksburg, VA topped all Historic Half runners for the second consecutive year.  Alexandra Cassar was top female (1:29:36) finisher. Yonel Admasu (27:20) and Savannah Roark (33:32) were the ribbon breakers for the Semper 5ive presented by Navy Federal Credit Union.  Joshua Novack and Stephanie Sminansky led the way for the inaugural Devil Dog double.
Newly released finisher shirts for the Half, 5ive and Devil Dog are available in the Historic Half store. If you didn’t purchase at the Expo, now’s your chance to treat yourself as a limited supply of remaining items including shirts, hats, jackets, zips and accessories are also available. 
Winners including age group, Masters and the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan 529th Virginia finisher will be notified by email and invited to a special ceremony to be held at  Pohanka Nissan in June.

The messiest, muddiest four- and two-mile events presented by Camelbak, more than 25 wild obstacles and mud pits. New features include the Rainforest. Multiple start times. Oh, so much mud. Part of the Distinguished Participant challenge. 
Hosted on August 26, the Quantico Tri features a swim in the Potomac River, a 20K cycle tour of the Base and a 5K run to the finish.  Part of the Distinguished Participant challenge. 


Quantico 12K 
The 7.45 mile distance challenge at Officer Candidates School on Quantico is an ideal distance for those training for a fall marathon. Features a great finisher medal.  Part of the Distinguished Participant challenge. 

Hosted on the day prior to the MCM and presented by Virginia 529 College Savings Plan, this one mile fun run hosts runners ages 5-12 at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Snacks, medals, shirts, mascots, festival, games, activities and more!
The premier 10K in the nation’s capital. Run 6.2 on the same day as the MCM and finish at the Marine Corps War Memorial. Plus, the MCM10K start returns to the National Mall.
