Dear Colleagues:

Please join me in welcoming the new Dean for the College of Education and Integrative Studies, Dr. Jeff Passe. He will join Cal Poly Pomona on Monday, July 17, 2017.

Dr. Jeff Passe has an extensive and innovative background in education. He leaves The College of New Jersey's School of Education, where he served as Dean, to join Cal Poly Pomona. His resourceful style of leadership, vision for creating new programs and dedication to establishing university-community partnerships will be a great addition to our university community. I am confident that Dr. Passe will lead the college effectively and I look forward to working with him as he assumes the role and responsibilities of Dean.

The search committee successfully recruited a strong pool of candidates and I want to thank the members for their hard work and diligence. They did an excellent job of identifying strong finalists. I want to recognize Dr. Hinda Gilli-Elewy for her strong leadership as chair of the search committee.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Interim Dean Nancy Hurlbut for her leadership and service during the transition.
