Principal's Letter

Dear All Saints Families,

Happy Monday and I hope all our mothers had a fantastic day filled with love and family.  Mothers play such an important role in educating their children, mind, body, and spirit. May God bless all mothers in their dedication to their families.

This week begins the final week for our graduating 8th graders.  Classes finished last Friday.  They begin this week with a trip to Islands of Adventure on Tuesday.  Thursday is the beautiful Baccalaureate Mass at St. Peter Church beginning at 9:00 am.  Finally, the week ends with the Graduation Mass at St. Christopher Church in Hobe Sound on Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 am.  We invite all our families to attend one or both of these wonderful celebration masses this week.

We also have two important events this week...We have our Volunteer Brunch this Wednesday in the cafeteria beginning at 8:15 am.  Evites were sent to parents who volunteered over 75 hours.  Please know we are only able to track volunteer hours through our check-in system.  We have had some problems with this system as it is new. Further, we are well aware many parents complete their service off campus but never log their hours.  If you feel you have given over 75 hours but did not receive an invitation, we sincerely apologize and ask that you call Ms. Darlene Capparelli to add you to the invite list.  We also have our Iowa results meeting this Wednesday evening in the gym at 6:00 pm.  We look forward to sharing our wonderful results with our families.

As we approach the end of the year, we wish to inform our families that although tuition did not increase this year, we were forced to increase book bills slightly.  The cost of books and supplies continue to increase.  We must always weigh the benefit of the textbook and the cost of the book.  Both are always a factor when deciding a series.  Unfortunately, when we select a series and the cost rises, within a five year adoption plan for a series, we are left with the cost.  Thank you for your understanding.  I have also been asked to remind parents to check their lunch and aftercare accounts and kindly pay any outstanding amounts before the end of the year.  Unsettled accounts are both uncomfortable for the school and family. Thank you for attention in this matter.

Have a wonderful week!

Yours in Christ,
Jill Broz

Volunteer Opportunities

The Uniform Store
Thank you to Siiri Hasey and  Brenda Rodgers who volunteered to head this great resource for our families.  Thank you to Mrs. Shatzer and Mrs. Veilleux who have taken care of this area for the past few years and are now passing the torch to new families.

Hospitality :
We need to organize a committee that would help set up (food/decorations) and run special events or meetings at the school.  This would allow the talent and creativity in our parents to shine during events.  Further, it would be so nice to have the presence of parents at the events to represent families in our community.  Examples of such events would be Open House, Grandparents Reception, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, HSA General Meetings and Pastors' Meetings.  Please contact Patty Rabideau if you are interested in joining this committee or have any questions,  561-385-1659 pattyrab@comcast.net.

Helping Hands:
This program runs throughout the school year and is held on Wednesday mornings after drop off in the cafeteria.  This program assists the teachers by doing prep work for upcoming classroom projects or assignments.  There is also an opportunity to take work home.  This is a great way for full time working parents to receive volunteer hours.  Contact Rita Berley at  301-509-0729  or  rita.berley@handslawllc.com  if you would like to help or have any questions.

THANK YOU TO OUR MANY VOLUNTEERS!
