Principal's Letter

Dear All Saints Families,

A huge thank you to our community for a faith-filled and joyous 8th grade graduation held last Saturday at St. Christopher Church in Hobe Sound.  Our students made us proud in their accomplishments and love of Jesus Christ.  Thank you sincerely to our parents and family members who partnered with the school to educate their children. It is an honor and privilege to be entrusted with such an enormous responsibility.  Our families support the school and our mission in so many ways that a simple thank you is insufficient.  I also wish to thank our faculty and staff who do more than teach, but give of themselves every day to help education our students, mind, body, and spirit.  It is truly a community that comes together to raise the children of today who become the leaders of tomorrow.  God bless our graduates and we wish them much love, faith, and success.

I am pleased to announce the placement of Ms. Natalie Seifel as a new fourth grade teacher who will be joining Ms. Reid and Ms. Lehman team. She will be teaching fourth grade Science and Religion.  Ms. Seifel came to us with an education degree and has earned her place by showing great initiative and drive for a full-time teaching position. Sadly, I must also announce the departure of Ms. Kalin Simione.  Ms. Simione will be entering a graduate program in Environmental Science,  We wish her all the best.  We are presently interviewing for the positions of Middle School Science and Assistants.

As we near the end of the school year, we have many things happening.  This week our Kindergarten celebrate Fairy Tales as they dress and dance to the themes of the tales.  We also have our band celebrating the year's growth in talent and skill with a concert Wednesday evening.  The week comes to a wonderful end with the First Communion Mass this Thursday. Now, as all parishes have completed their First Holy Communion celebrations, we come together as a school community and honor our second graders in their amazing journey for two major sacraments this year, First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  All families are invited to this liturgy to help us honor this wonderful faith journey.

Sixth and Seventh grades begin exams this Friday.  They will continue until Wednesday next week.  Report cards will be mailed home at the end of the school year.  Second through seventh grade final report cards will have the longitudinal Iowa scores attached. This report was delayed in getting out to families.  Thank you for your understanding.

Have a wonderful long weekend with the Memorial Holiday.

Yours in Christ,
Jill Broz
Principal
Volunteer Opportunities

The Uniform Store
Thank you to Siiri Hasey and Brenda Rodgers who volunteered to head this great resource for our families.  Thank you to Mrs. Shatzer and Mrs. Veilleux who have taken care of this area for the past few years and are now passing the torch to new families.

Hospitality :
We need to organize a committee that would help set up (food/decorations) and run special events or meetings at the school.  This would allow the talent and creativity in our parents to shine during events.  Further, it would be so nice to have the presence of parents at the events to represent families in our community.  Examples of such events would be Open House, Grandparents Reception, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, HSA General Meetings and Pastors' Meetings.  Please contact Patty Rabideau if you are interested in joining this committee or have any questions,  561-385-1659 pattyrab@comcast.net.

Helping Hands:
This program runs throughout the school year and is held on Wednesday mornings after drop off in the cafeteria.  This program assists the teachers by doing prep work for upcoming classroom projects or assignments.  There is also an opportunity to take work home.  This is a great way for full time working parents to receive volunteer hours.  Contact Rita Berley at  301-509-0729  or  rita.berley@handslawllc.com  if you would like to help or have any questions.

THANK YOU TO OUR MANY VOLUNTEERS!
