Cornerstones is a unique publication because it speaks not only to the engineer and contractor communities, but also to facility professionals, building managers and owners, and other personnel.

BACnet International is exhibiting at the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC), the largest energy conference and technology expo held in the U.S. specifically for business, industrial and institutional energy users

Save the Date - PlugFest 2017
The BACnet International BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group (BTL WG) invites manufacturers of BACnet products to attend the 18th annual PlugFest, an interoperability workshop at The University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.
This event permits vendors to test their BACnet products with BACnet devices from other vendors in a neutral and friendly environment. 2016 saw 80 BACnet engineers representing 37 teams in attendance, working together to improve their BACnet implementation and testing methods.
The 2017 event will run from Tuesday, September 26 through Thursday, September 28.
The BACnet Working Group will be meeting on Monday, September 25 prior to the start of PlugFest.

Member Company Automated Logic Participating in Daylight Hour 2017
Daylight Hour is an annual social media campaign organized by the Building Energy Exchange to raise awareness about using natural daylight in lieu of electric lighting in offices. Launched in 2014, this simple and engaging campaign asks participating offices to turn off their lights in day-lit spaces for one hour on the Friday before the summer solstice (June 16th, 2017, from 12-1pm, EDT).
Leading up to and during this hour, offices around the world share their involvement on social media, engaging their communities and showcasing their environmental commitment.
Automated Logic has chosen to participate in Daylight Hour 2017 to reinforce their commitment to the environment, energy savings, and sustainable building operations.

Metasys 8.1 BAS Delivers New Graphics and Enhanced Security
The new Metasys 8.1 building automation system from Johnson Controls delivers new graphics, enhanced security and other features to mitigate risk, reduce cost and maximize investments.
Optimized for mobility, the system's interface employs new photo-realistic graphics for better visualization and faster troubleshooting from customers' mobile devices. These new graphics are easily created within Metasys without requiring any additional software or tools, significantly reducing time on task.
This latest release also prevents unauthorized access with HTTPS.

8.1 uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 protocol, the current standard for communications privacy on the Internet, to ensure secure, encrypted communications between two communicating applications or between client and server.

Automated Logic Honors Radius Systems and Sunbelt Controls as Top Performing Field Offices
Automated Logic recognized Radius Systems LLC as Field Office of the Year and Sunbelt Controls for Project of the Year at its annual distribution meeting.
Over 300 dealers from across the globe were represented at the 29th annual meeting, held this year in San Diego. Events included educational sessions, networking opportunities and an awards banquet to recognize field offices for outstanding achievement. More than 70 awards were given to dealers for milestones including service, sales growth and Quota Busters.
